EA Dressage Committee Performance Gold Medal Presentation 2017

The EA Dressage Committee (EADC) Performance Gold Medals were presented to the recipients on Saturday evening at the Martin Collins 2017 Australian Dressage Championships at Boneo Park.

The EADC’s initiative for rewarding consistent outstanding performances is now in its fifth year. This year saw 13 horses awarded the prestigious gold medal.

In order to qualify for a Gold Medal horse/rider combinations must have obtained the required results, found below, within the qualifying period of 10 September 2016 - 13 September 2017.

  • Novice or Elementary level - 3 performances of 75% or more at each level
  • Medium or Advanced level - 3 performances of 70% or more at each level
  • PSG or Inter I (small tour) - 3 performances of 70% or more across the small tour
  • Inter A or Inter B (medium tour) - 3 performances of 70% or more across the small tour
  • Inter II or Grand Prix (big tour) - 3 performances of 70% or more across the big tour

Recipients were presented with their Gold Medal by Paula Ward, Equestrian Australia's CEO.

“How exciting for our sport to have 13 Gold Medal winners across the levels - it shows the consistency of training underpinning the natural talent of these beautiful horses. Congratulations to all of the riders, owners and trainers involved, and our very best wishes for their progression” said Prue Spurrett, Chair of the EADC.
