Equestrian Australia Athlete Appointed Director EOI

Equestrian Australia is now calling for nominations for the Athlete Appointed Director position on the EA Board.

The EA Elected Directors may appoint an EA member whom they consider by virtue of qualifications and background will assist the Company attain its objectives, as a Director (refer EA Constitution: Appointed Directors).

This is an exciting opportunity to join the board to bring a riders voice to the table. Also we are looking for someone with experience from novice/junior to high performance (HP) level. Previous board experience will be looked on favourably.

The Athlete Appointed Director may fill the provision as the member of the EA board to sit on the HP Panel, and be on a working group to develop the strategic plan and road map for the future of EA.

The appointed member must be an active athlete in that he or she:

  • is currently competing, or
  • has competed, in the sport at a national or international level;
  • is over the age of 18 years; and
  • has not been sanctioned for an athlete or horse doping offence during their sport career.
