Levett out for opening leg of the Event Rider Masters Series

Top UK-based Australian eventing rider Bill Levett has suffered a setback in the lead-up to the Event Rider Masters Series and will miss the opening leg on May 15 at Chatsworth House.

“I had a fall at a warm up fence - a simple upright before I went in to jump a show jump round at a training event,” Levett told EA.

“It was just one of those freak things. The horse got its legs tangled in a pole and fell over.”

“I have been thoroughly checked out and just need a couple of weeks on the easy list for the bruising to heal.”

The highly experienced and popular rider is confident of a return to full fitness and is aiming to compete in the second leg of the Event Riders Masters at Wiesbaden in Germany on June 4.

“The ERM series is a great development for our sport and is a key focus for me this year,” he said.

We hope he gets well soon !
