Megan Jones first and second at Tonimbuk CIC3*

It was a great weekend for Megan Jones at Tonimbuk winning the CIC3* on her Elite Squad horse, Kirby Park Irish Jester and coming second on Kirby Park Allofasudden.
Megan led the dressage by nearly ten points on Jester, who is owned by Margaret Jones, with an impressive 36.46 and was clear in both jumping phases but picked up 6.4 time penalties on the cross-country. Kirby Park Allofasudden, owned by Lauren Poulson, was second after dressage with penalties of 45.83 and did not incur anymore faults. Janelle Pitts riding her own Mr. Showoff was third with penalties of 50.25, followed by fellow Elite Squad member Sonja Johnson and Ringwould Jaguar who finished fourth on penalties of 50.44.
“Jester was super,” said Megan. “He did one of the best tests that he has ever done, he just felt great.” Megan has been able to have the occasional dressage lesson form Harry Boldt mostly she has been training on her own - with the help of her video camera!
"The going at Tonimbuk was beautiful" commented Megan, who had originally planned to run the horses at Albury until the event was moved to Scone.
