Games Travel Fund
Equestrian Australia has registered the ‘Games Travel Fund’ as an Australian Sports Foundation Ltd (ASF) registered project to assist with expenditures at World Equestrian Games and Olympic Games. Donations prior to the 2010 World Equestrian Games WEG) must be used for those Games. Donations collected after 2010 WEG will be used for London 2012 and so on.

Equestrian Australia will use ASF grants to assist with expenditures relating to competitions, selection events and training camps for the Australian Equestrian Team. Examples of such expenditures are:
· Flights, ground transport for athletes, coaches, team managers, horses
· Accommodation for athletes, coaches, team managers, horses
· Freight of equipment
· Hire of training venue
· Uniforms
· Veterinary costs
· Accreditation/entry fees
The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) was established by the Australian Government to assist community organisations raise funds for the development of Australian sport. The ASF is supported by the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).
The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) registers projects with organisations at all levels with a wide variety of sport related goals. As at 30 June 2010, 556 projects were registered with the ASF.
During the period 1 July 2009 to 30 June 2010, $15.94 million was issued in discretionary grants by the ASF to registered project organisations for sport related projects.
Donations to the ASF may be made by cash, cheque, money order or credit card and may be single donations or pledged amounts over a designated period of time.
Donation tips
A). The ASF relies on the address details on the donation form to issue receipts so these must be complete and legible.
B). Check that the donor declaration has been signed by the donor.
C). Credit card donation forms must be additionally signed and dated by the donor and must have all credit card details including a current expiry date.
D). Donors paying by AMEX will need an additional 4 digit security code to be placed in the relevant section of the donation form.
