Who is Equestrian Australia?
EA is the National Sporting Organisation recognised by the Australian Sports Commission, the Australia Olympic Committee and the international body for equestrian sport FEI. EA is responsible for the governance, management and development of equestrian sport in Australia, with a strong focus on High Performance outcomes. EA also has a responsibility to develop the recreational sector of the sport within Australia including the growth of equestrian sports for youth and young adults, a significant proportion of whom have traditionally had their initial equestrian experience within Pony Club.

Who is Pony Club Australia’s (PCA)?
PCA is the largest equestrian organisation in Australia and is a National Sporting Organisation recognised by the Australian Sports Commission as responsible for the governance, management and development of equestrian sports for youth and young adults in Australia. PCA and its State Territory members have traditionally provided training, competition and social development opportunities to children and young adults’ up to the age of 25 years, mainly through club activities and initiatives at zone, state, territory and national level.
Why are EA and PCA working together?

EA and PCA recognised the need to work together based on their common goal of providing more Australians with the opportunity to participate and experience equestrian sport.

While there are many common goals shared between the two sporting bodies, each has their own objectives and place within the sporting industry.  This partnership is not about one sport taking over the other – but rather recognising that by working together both organisations can achieve the goals of growing equestrian sport.
