Prior to taking on the role as Equestrian Australia Chair, Judy Fasher served as a board member of Equestrian New South Wales for a considerable time, for six years prior to 2011 (with a year off due to rotational requirements of the board) then voted back on in 2012. She has been involved with the sport in an administrative capacity for many years prior to that as well as a coach and competitor.

A former Journalist who worked for the ABC, Judy is a committed and dedicated servant of the sport and has many areas of expertise in equestrian including high performance, marketing and media, junior development, eventing and coaching. A former journalist, She is a mentor to many in the sport. Judy is an EA NCAS Level 2 Coach and Coach Educator as well as a volunteer.
