The ICDF
|
The International Competition and Development Fund was originally established to recover funds expended in connection with the 1990 Stockholm World Equestrian Games, and to accumulate funds for Australian participation in future international competitions. Moneys are collected by way of a levy imposed on all members of the EFA throughout Australia. A portion of receipts is set aside for use by non-Olympic Disciplines. The Fund now supports projects and events that either clearly fall into the “international competition” category or can be demonstrated to further the “development” of the sport in general or a particular discipline. “Development” predominantly denotes workshops and seminars for the training of judges and officials, and other activities carried out for the development of competencies, including opportunities for skill practice (competitions and events). The ICDF policy and the application procedure are included in the application forms, which can be downloaded (see below). Applications or Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for funding must be made by 15 May for events taking place in the following financial year. PLEASE NOTE: Because of the additional strain on resources because of the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, it is especially important not to miss the deadlines for EOIs and applications. Events and activities 1 July 2010 - 31 December 2010 Events and activities 1 January 2011 - 30 June 2011 There are two different application forms available in MS Word format. One is for organisers of larger equestrian events and the other is for individuals and small projects.
