AUSTRALIAN TENTPEGGING CHAMPIONSHIPS
This year, the Australian Tentpegging Championships were held at Inverell in northern New South Wales, on the weekend of the 20th and 21st of November,
and run in conjunction with the opening of the Inverell equestrian Centre and the Festival of the Horse.
Heavy rain in the days leading up to the event almost saw the cancellation of the championships, but the organisers worked overtime, carting tons of sand, to have the arena safe and usable.
New South Wales team Albury were the A Grade Champion Team. The City Cowboys from Queensland took out the B Grade teams championship, while the Bright Sparks from Victoria were the C Grade champions.
Thunderboltz from Queensland, won the junior competition from the Reserve Raiders, also from Queensland.
The New South Wales tentpegging Championships were held in Albury at the Albury showgrounds on the weekend of the 6th and 7th of November 2010.
Weather wise, Albury turned on a great weekend, and the events were keenly contested, with several runoffs to decide placings.
Champion a Grade team was Albury out pegging Tamworth.
Deniliquin won the B Grade from the Bright Sparks.
North East Victoria held of the Missfitts to win C Grade.
The B Grade individual went to Paul Buckland and the C Grade to Tristan Williams.
