Two Australian Drivers were able to gain World Singles Championships qualifying scores at a CAN (FEI-endorsed National Driving Event) held last weekend.

The two drivers were Elizabeth Lawrence and Michelle Jones.

The event was held at the property of Doug and Dot Willcoxson at Bungendore near Canberra. Doug was also the Technical Delegate. The EA National Carriage Driving Committee (NCDC) appreciates their generosity.

The Ground Jury was headed by Mr. Mark Wentein (Belgium) and Mr Marsoe Larose (Canada) acted as 'Foreign Judge'. Both officials spoke highly of the good organisation of the event, which in great measure was due to the untiring efforts of NCDC Chair Judy Meredith and Event Secretary Annelies McGaw. Judy was assisted in the lead-up to the event by her two hard-working daughters.

Congratulations to all involved in the planning and organisation of the CAN, the first qualifying event in Australia for many years.

The event was preceded by an FEI Judges and Course Designers Seminar and followed by a Driving Clinic conducted by Boyd Exell, who then went on to Victoria and Queensland for other clinics.
