Edwina Tops-Alexander has maintained her Global Champions Tour series lead after finishing seventh in the Monaco Grand Prix.
Edwina and Cevo Itot Du Chateau finished the event with just four faults.
Speaking at the post event press conference Edwina said, "We are only halfway through the series so a lot could change. It is quite hard to hold a lead the whole way through but I hope I can do it. My horse has been very consistent and he jumped great today. I am very happy about today. It is my horse's last preparation before the Olympic Games."

Monaco welcomes Global Champions Tour
Round six of the Global Champions Tour will be staged this weekend in picturesque Monaco.
Over 200 horses have descended on the principality for the three day event which will see riders stake their claim for a share of €285,000 ($350,000+ AUD) in prize money.
After placing third on the podium in the fifth round of the GCT Grand Prix which was held in Cannes (FRA) a fortnight ago, Australian rider Edwina Tops-Alexander remains in the series lead - a position that she has occupied since winning the series opener in Doha, Qatar. She is 19 points clear of the second placed rider Marcus Ehning of Germany and with five riders separated by just 36 points, competition is heating up as the series nears the half-way mark.
With less than a month to go before the London Olympic Games, the Global Champions Tour also provides the world’s top placed horse and rider combinations with yet another opportunity to fine tune preparations before they compete in front of a global audience.
Monaco has hosted the Global Champions Tour since the series first began in 2006.
“Once again we will have the best riders and horses in the world in Monaco and I am sure it will be a fantastic event for our sponsors, spectators, guests and TV viewers worldwide,” said GCT President Jan Tops.
The GCT Grand Prix gets underway at 2am AEST on Sunday 1 July (6pm Saturday local time). All the action can be viewed on the
GCT website livestreaming service as well as on Eurosport – channel 511 on Foxtel and Austar - from 6:15am AEST on Sunday 1 July and again at 12:45pm AEST. The Grand Prix will be replayed several times throughout the next week so
