Australia has enjoyed a golden history in eventing at the Olympics and the team selected today for the 2012 Games will look to continue this tradition in London.
A big contributor to the nation’s medal haul is Andrew Hoy, and his inclusion in the team marks an historic moment in Australia’s Olympic history as he becomes the first athlete to compete at seven Olympic Games.

Travelling Reserves
Megan Jones and Kirby Park Allofasudden
Tim Boland and GV Billy Elliott
The third travelling reserve was Bill Levett and One Two Many NJ. Unfortunately on 4 July, Bill had to withdraw - below is the statement he provided on his website:
"I’m devastated to have to let you all know that One Two Many NJ (Coco) is no longer going to be eligible for Olympic selection. He has picked up a minor injury at Barbury this weekend which will mean he is out of action for a while.
I am gutted for the horse, my owners Gerry and Mary Kemp and for my loyal and hard working team and supporters behind the scenes.
Nothing more to be said other than to wish my fellow competitors all the best for the Games. I will have to move on, focus on the other lovely young horses I have to produce and be thankful for my health and family."
The Australian Eventing selectors will reconsider and announce potential replacement for Bill in the coming days.
