Two Aussies take victory at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen
Carriage Driving
Boyd Exell has won his fourth consecutive World Equestrian Festival CAIO Carriage Driving title. Boyd and his team of horses produced a strong marathon round to finish on a score of 91.07 to clinch victory on the final day of competition. Read the full report here.
Scoring 230.77 Australia’s Gavin Robson finished in 23rd position.
Eventing
Earlier Chris Burton and Underdisussion claimed victory in the CIC3* event. The combination was in third place after two phases and produced a clear cross country leg to finish the event in front. Winner of the team’s event was Germany. Read the full story here.

Dressage competition at this year's World Equestrian Festival in Aachen (GER) commenced Wednesday 4 July.
55 Dressage competitors from nine nations are competing at this year’s event.
Australia will field a four member team for the CDIO consisting of riders Rozzie Ryan (GV Bullwinkle), Hayley Beresford (Belisssimo NRW), Kristy Oatley (Clive) and Lyndal Oatley (Sandro Boy).
Kristy Oatley and Ronan 2 contested Wednesday’s CDI Grand Prix scoring 65.532 for their test. The event was won by German combination Monica Theodorescu and Whisper 128 which scored 74.319. View full results here
The CDIO Grand Prix begins Thursday at 5pm AEST (9am local time). Australian riders will take to the arena at the following times:
