Equestrian Australia 2009 Anti-Doping Policy - This By-Law outlines EA Anti-doping policies and the procedures to be followed in cases of alleged doping offences. EA’s anti-doping policy is WADA code compliant.

- A complete medical history
- A comprehensive report of the clinical examination with specific focus on the respiratory system
- A report of spirometry with the measure of the Forced Expiratory Volume in 1 second (FEV1)
- If airway obstruction is present, the spirometry will be repeated after inhalation of a short acting Beta-2 Agonist to demonstrate the reversibility of bronchoconstriction
- In the absence of reversible airway obstruction, a bronchial provocation test is required to establish the presence of airway hyperresponsiveness Exact name, speciality, address (including telephone, e-mail, fax) of examining physician.

WORLD ANTI-DOPING CODE 2009
Changes to the World Anti-Doping Code come into effect on 1 January 2009, and will impact athletes and support personnel. Key changes include a new Prohibited List and the elimination of abbreviated Therapeutic Use Exemptions; however, all abbreviated Therapeutic Use Exemptions delivered before 31 December 2008 will remain valid after 1 January 2009 for a set period.
