Overview of EFA Horse Management Certificate
EFA Horse Management Certificates provide all riders, owners and grooms with a learning pathway from caring for their first horse to care and preparation for competition at various levels. Horse Management Certificates also form a prerequisite to EFA Coaching Courses.
Theory and Practical training is delivered in a flexible home-study manner using comprehensive workbooks and recommended reading. Study may be with done with coaches, Coach Educators or other industry experts such as vets and farriers.

Assessments are performed by EFA Coach Educators either in a formal workshop setting or in a one-on-one setting using the prescribed activity slips in each EFA workbook.

Introductory Horse Management - General Horsemanship, Safety, Saddlery, Health, Fitness, Feeding, Hoof Care, Grooming, Travelling (local), Lungeing.
Level 1 Horse Management - General Horsemanship, Conformation, Saddlery, Health, Horse Digestive System, Preventative Health Measures, Hoof Care, Grooming for Competition, Fitness and Conditioning for Competition, Travelling (long distance)
Level 2 Horse Management - Horse Behaviour, Conformation, Saddlery, Medication and Banned Substances, Competition and Corrective Shoeing, Grooming for Competition and Therapy, Fitness and Conditioning for Competition, Travelling (long distance)
