2016 EA Club Development Grant recipients announced

13 clubs from around Australia will receive a funding boost as part of Equestrian Australia (EA)’s recent round of Club Development Grants. It is the third time that EA has offered $30,000 in funding assistance to affiliated clubs and this recent round attracted 99 applications.

Some of the projects to be supported include funding for trailers, arena rakes, timing gear as well as jumping equipment, a new club room, carriage driving gear and different safety equipment. View the full list of recipients here.

Clubs were assessed by representatives from EA and the State Branches on how they engage and work with their current membership base, their participation in EA activities and their track record of encouraging participation in club events.

Equestrian Australia CEO Paula Ward, said "EA is proud to be able to provide funding to support Clubs to improve the capacity and accessibility of their equestrian facilities which, in turn, helps Clubs increase participation within their local community. We are particularly pleased to have the opportunity to provide support to projects in regional Australia through clubs such as the Berrimah Riding Club in the Northern Territory. This year, we also chose to focus on a number of projects aimed at increasing safety in our sport."
