Australasian Show Horse & Rider Championships

As the entries are received for the 2014 Australasian Show Horse & Rider Championships, there have been several horses, riders and owners that are ineligible to represent their state, even though they have qualified. This is due to the fact they have not adhered to Rule 5.4. of the Equestrian Australia National Show Horse Rules, which states:

Any horse, rider or owner that qualify to compete at the Australasian Show Horse Championships must maintain full current membership up to and including the duration of the Championships in that calendar year. If membership is not maintained they forfeit their right to compete at the Championships.

The application of rule 5.4 has been reviewed by the National Show Horse Committee and the Board of EA and it has been determined that for this year only those qualified to compete at the 2014 Australasian Show Horse and Rider Championships will be permitted to compete. In future however, rule 5.4 will be strictly enforced.
