EA Board Announcement

Equestrian Australia (EA) wishes to announce that Ms Melissa Cannon has resigned from the EA board due to ongoing work commitments.

Ms Cannon has been a member of the EA Board since October 2012. During her time as an EA board member, Ms Cannon has been an influential contributor, offering expertise in the areas of financial analysis and management and serving as Chairperson of the board’s Finance, Audit and Risk Committee.

EA Chairman Dr Warwick Vale praised Ms Cannon’s contribution to the sport.

“The board has valued Melissa’s skills and professionalism, particularly with regards to financial management. Melissa has a wealth of knowledge and expertise and she has graciously shared this in the role of director of EA.

“On behalf of the board and EA membership, I would like to thank Melissa for offering her skills and time.  Melissa was contributing to the sport long before taking up a position on the board and we look forward to her remaining active within the equestrian community.”

Ms Cannon has pledged her ongoing support to equestrian sport and said she would continue to play a part.

EA will look to fill the vacant board position in the coming month.
