Equestrian Grand Final start list takes shape

With less than two months to go until the 2014 Equestrian Grand Final, the qualifying events for all disciplines are now complete. The start lists for the event is starting to take shape and competition looks set to be fierce with Olympian and WEG representatives across all disciplines. The event will be held as part of EQUITANA Melbourne from 20-23 November 2014 at the Melbourne Showgrounds.

World Cup Jumping

Qualification for the Jumping Grand Final was held in conjunction with the Australian League of the FEI World Cup Series. The 21* best placed combinations on the leader board following the first seven rounds of the season automatically earn a start in the Grand Final, they are:

*due to a tie in the leader board the top 22 riders will gain automatic entry and only 3 wildcards will be offered

Dressage

Four significant Australian dressage competitions acted as qualifying events for the 2014 Dressage Grand Final. The 12 combinations that recorded the highest Grand Prix Freestyle scores from these events automatically secured a start in the Final. The qualified combinations are:

  • Sue Hearn & Remmington

Exhibition Eventing

After two qualifying rounds held at Wallaby Hill in NSW and the Royal Melbourne Show in Victoria the following eight riders have qualified:
