Stephen Clarke Visit

Plans for the visit of leading International Dressage Judge Stephen Clarke are taking shape.  This is a very exciting opportunity for judges, riders, coaches and dressage supporters to learn from the current FEI Judge General at an official A & B level Judges Accreditation Seminar on Saturday 4 November.  The seminar will be held at the David William Knox Equestrian Centre at the Geelong Grammar School Corio Campus and supported by the school’s Equestrian Program.  The facilities offer a magnificent indoor arena and conference area and are very central to all areas with great access to Avalon airport for interstate visitors.  While this is an official A & B level seminar, all judges, coaches and riders will be encouraged to attend and enjoy and share Stephen’s knowledge and insight.

Sunday 5 November will offer tremendous opportunities to “listen and learn” from Stephen’s commentary at the Dressage Festival Fundraiser competition at Werribee Park.   Riders will also have the opportunity to learn when Stephen judges some classes during the day.

The next two days will be devoted to intensive lessons at Statene Park on the Bellarine Peninsula.  Application forms for lessons will be available later in the year.  Judges, coaches and spectators will be very welcome to watch the lessons for a very small fee to help with the costs of Stephen’s visit.

An opportunity to work with one of the most respected and knowledgeable international judges and trainers does not arise very often so everyone with an interest in dressage at any level should put these dates in their diary.  Accessibility will be a feature of Stephen’s visit.
