Chris Burton Wins ERM Series

Chris Burton won the final leg of the 2018 Event Rider Masters today (Sunday, 26 August) at the Land Rover Blair Castle International Horse Trials and so confirmed himself as winner of the series. In total, he won £46,000 — £16,000 for the leg victory and £30,000 for the series.

The Australian put in the only round inside the time across country in pouring rain to move up from fourth after showjumping, riding the syndicate-owned Graf Liberty.

Chris Burton wins British Open

Chris Burton wins British Open

Australia’s own Chris Burton has won the British Eventing Open over the weekend. 

Riding TS Jamaimo, Burton rose steadily through the ranks from ninth place after showjumping as a dramatic competition unfolded in the Festival’s showpiece class.

New Zealander Jonelle Price, was second on Classic Moet, and Nicola Wilson from North Yorkshire finished third on Beltane Queen.

Alison Rowland on Yalambi’s Carpino Z wins CSI2*-W Sydney during the Royal Easter Show

For the first time, the Grand Prix at the Sydney Royal was rated as a FEI World Cup 2 star event. A first in Sydney that could not be overlooked!

The Sydney Easter Show in Olympic Park was a perfect backdrop to gather families and insiders to enjoy the sport in the main arena. The event was originally scheduled for Tuesday afternoon however was postponed to Wednesday morning due to weather. This delay enabled the grass footing to dry which provided perfect conditions for the horses and riders.

Hendra By-Law Revoked

Hendra By-Law Revoked

Update 2 February 2015

Equestrian Australia (EA) has today revoked the EA Hendra Vaccination By-Law effective immediately.  The panel (commissioned by the EA Board) will remain in place to complete a full assessment on the risk that the Hendra virus creates for EA events nationally.
