How do I maintain my coach accreditation?

EA Coaches must maintain their EA Coach Registration on an annual basis. This occurs each finanical year.

EA Coaches must also maintain their EA Membership at all times for their insurance and registration to remain valid. EA Membership is processed via your local State Branch, and can be renewed via MyEA on an annual basis - this differs between states.

In order to maintain your EA Coach Registration and be recognised as a current, accredited EA coach, you will need to ensure you have:

  • completed your online Coach Registration Renewal (including completing your Coach Activities form) via MyEA

  • attended an EA Coach or CE/SSTA Update clinic (required every 2 years)

  • a current First Aid Certificate (Certificate HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid)

  • a current Working with Children Check/Blue Card (if you intend on teaching students under 18yo)

  • completed your Sport Integrity Anti-Doping Fundamentals (formerly ASADA Level 1) Certificate (valid forever - free to complete online HERE

  • completed your Sport Integrity Annual Update (formerly ASADA Level 2) Certificate (free to complete online HERE)

  • completed your ASC Community Coaching Principles Certificate (free to complete with Sport Australia - click HERE.)
