To check the FEI Equine Prohibited Substances List (Effective 1st January 2016), you can use:
Equestrian Australia (EA) urges all riders and horse owners to take special care when using topical treatments, feed additives and supplements.
The FEI’s message is “IF IN ANY DOUBT, DO NOT GIVE IT TO YOUR HORSE".
APVMA Warning on buying natural horse products:
A natural horse product may claim to provide a therapeutic benefit but if it’s not registered with the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) it may not be safe or perform as claimed.
All products that fit the legislative definition of a veterinary chemical product need to be registered or otherwise authorised by the APVMA.
