National Jumping Elite Youth Squad for 2013 is named

Equestrian Australia is pleased to announce the National Jumping Elite Youth Squad for 2013. There are representatives from each state on this squad including Tom McDermott and Evie Buller who are also members of the Senior Normandy 2014 Squad.

The National Selection Panel worked in consultation with the state selection panels around Australia taking into account rider results from the Tekna National Young Rider Series as well as results from the State and National Championships.

The 2012 Tekna National Young Rider Selection Series was conducted in each state during July to December and with over 100 combinations participating, the leading group delivered some excellent rounds over what was considered a tough course designed by Gavin Chester from Victoria.

Mykaela Briggs of Tasmania is the first rider from Tasmania to be named on this squad.

Squad members will be offered a range of opportunities including coaching clinics facilitated by national coach Rod Brown and International Consulting Coach Gilbert Boeckmann.
