Two Coach Delegates Representing Australia at IGEQ in Germany

Equestrian Australia is pleased to announce that we will be proudly represented by two delegates at the International Group for Equestrian Qualifications (IGEQ) conference, being held in Warendorf, Germany from 2-5 December 2019.

These delegates are Simon Kale (Coach Educator, L3 General and L3 Eventing) and Tim Calkin (Coach Educator, L2 General).

Equestrian Australia is a member of the IGEQ and for those who are unfamiliar, the IGEQ is a not for profit, member based organisation, dedicated to improving education and qualifications for all equestrians to improve the welfare of the horse.

IGEQ members are also members of the Federation Equestre Interntionale (FEI) with a Memorandum of Understanding existing between the two.  For more information on the aims of the IGEQ and the membership benefits, please refer to the IGEQ website https://igeq.org/

Whilst attendance at the IGEQ will provide educational insights and information to support the re-established coaching syllabus review project, Simon and Tim are attending the conference to ensure Equestrian Australia’s coaching accreditation is appropriately recognised on the international coaching matrix that compares equestrian coaching accreditations of member nations.

Amongst other things, this will provide greater opportunities for EA accredited coaches who may wish to travel overseas and continue their coaching career.

Simon and Tim are both looking forward to sharing the outcomes of the conference and their learnings with the equestrian community when they return.
