Gillian Canapini has been appointed to the EA Board in January 2020.

A former EA Director, Gillian has a life long involvement with horses and an involvement with equestrian sport for approx 40 years. She has competed in the three Olympic disciplines and is currently a competitor in dressage.

As a former lawyer, Gillian practised in metropolitan and country Victoria for approximately 20 years. She has also worked professionally at senior management level in Sports Administration for the EA, and another sport under the Sport Australia banner, for approximately 15 years. Gillian has worked co-operatively with national and international equestrian bodies, and an Australian Breed Society, to develop coaching programs.

Gillian has a strong commitment to the grassroots equestrian membership; her wider equestrian experience includes volunteering, stewarding, dressage judging and serving on event organising committees, as well as being on a current EA State sub-committee for coaching.
