Australian Officials Appointed to Officiate at the 2026 Asian Games
Australian expertise to be showcased on the international stage
Equestrian Australia is proud to celebrate the appointment of three Australian officials selected to officiate at the 20th Asian Games, to be held from 19 September to 4 October 2026 as part of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Games in Japan. The equestrian competitions will take place at JRA Equestrian Park in Tokyo.
The appointments recognise the depth of expertise within Australia's equestrian community and the important contribution Australian officials continue to make on the international stage.

- John Vallance - Technical Delegate (Jumping)
- Ricky MacMillan - Member of the Ground Jury (Dressage)
- Dr Kirsten Neil - Veterinary Official
These prestigious appointments recognise each official's extensive experience, knowledge and commitment to equestrian sport.
As Technical Delegate, John Vallance will help oversee the application of FEI rules and support the fair and safe delivery of the Jumping competition. Ricky MacMillan's appointment to the Dressage Ground Jury will see her play an important role in judging and maintaining the integrity of the competition. Dr Kirsten Neil will contribute veterinary expertise in support of horse welfare, a cornerstone of equestrian sport.

The Asian Games are a major multi-sport event and provide an important opportunity for officials, athletes and support personnel to contribute to elite international competition. Equestrian competition will feature Dressage, Jumping and Eventing.
For Australia, the appointments highlight the strength of the nation's officials pathway and reinforce the important role Australian technical officials play in ensuring international competitions are delivered to high standards.
