Katja Weimann & BP Cosmopolitan

Katja Weimann

Katja rode at Pony Club level for many years and took part in her first official Eventing competition in 2000 when she was 17 years old. Since then she has had great success with a number of horses, being included on the Mitsubishi National Young Eventing Rider Squad in 2003 and winning their scholarship in 2004. In 2003 she was elected Equestrian Victoria Young Event Rider of the Year.

Michael Jung, Ingrid Klimke and William Fox-Pitt are the riders who inspire her. After completing a Bachelor of Animal Science and Management at The University of Melbourne, she took her passion on as a career and has produced a team of horses that have performed successfully. In 2012Katja wins team Gold with the Trans Tasman Team at Kihikihi International Horse Trials CIC*** in New Zealand and in 2013 she is elected again Equestrian Victoria Rider of the Year.

She is now at the head of Bimbimbie Park Stud, Dewhurst, Victoria, and offers breeding services with only a small number of quality foals each year but also training and competition for riders, owners and pupils. There is not much time outside horses but Katja likes to spend time with her friends and likes traveling and snowboarding.
Katja's ambitions for 2015 is to improve performances for her horses and herself and be successful and competitive at the major three day events, and produce results that's re good enough to be in the running for Olympic selection in 2016 for Rio. And we are sure she will go fare following her mojo : "a goal without a plan is just a wish". #GoAUS
