Peter Toft, board member of Equestrian Australia

Peter Toft has been elected to the board of Equestrian Australia in November 2018. 

Peter has been a member of the Equestrian Queensland board for nine of the past ten years, in roles including Chair, Vice-Chair and Treasurer.

With a lifetime in the horse industry as a volunteer, FEI official, Event Organiser, Sponsor, breeder and trainer, Peter with his wife Penny operate a large equestrian export business and have a large training and breeding program with stallions, mares and competition horses in France and Australia.

Peter is also a past Chair of the Queensland Horse Industry Alliance, a member of the Queensland Horse Industry Marketing and Liaison Group (since 2008) and on several committees chaired by Biosecurity Queensland.

He was the Australian Endurance team Chef d'Equip for the 2014 WEG and a silver medallist at the 2005 World Endurance Championships. Peter and Penny have owned and trained 13 WEG and WEC Equine medallists.

Peter is committed to seeing significant reform with the governance and operation of Equestrian Australia in line with the aspirations of the membership.
