2023 Royal Melbourne Show - Jumping

In 2023 Melbourne Royal will celebrate 175 years. Since our creation as the Moone Ponds Farmers Society in 1848, Melbourne Royal has been recognised as a brand of excellence.  Melbourne Royal’s vision is to celebrate agriculture, cultivate events and strengthen communities. 

The 175^th celebration will showcase our history, the evolution of agriculture and how time and time again Melbourne Royal has been at the forefront of innovations.

From the introduction of Olympic jumping and dressage events in 1951. Equestrian events have taken pride of place at Melbourne Royal from that first ploughing match in 1848 to the FEI World Cup in 2022.

At the Melbourne Royal Show you can experience award-winning food alongside thrilling rides, Melbourne’s music scene beside the Spotlight Maker’s Pavilion winners, wander from the showjumping to the sideshow, or from the dogs pavilion to the dodgems.

Cheer the champions in the animal competitions and cuddle calves and chooks in the Animal Nursery. Barrack for the best in breed or try your hand shearing a sheep and milking a cow. 

Taste award-winning cheese, coffee, gin and cold beer and treat the kids to fairy floss and a chip on a stick.
