Boneo Park has been named as the host venue of the 2014/15 Pacific League World Cup Final, Equestrian Australia announced today.

The equestrian venue on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula will run the Final in conjunction with its annual Credit Suisse Boneo Park CDI3*. The event, which will be held from 23-25 January 2015, has been awarded the rights to the Pacific League Final for one year.

Earlier in the year Equestrian Australia called for expressions of interest from prominent dressage events to host the 2014/15 Pacific League World Cup Final*.

When determining the host venue, applicants were assessed on the footing, stabling and facilities which they offered, as well as the standard of competition provided to spectators as well as competitors.

“It is a privilege to be able to host the 2014/15 Pacific League World Cup Dressage Final,” said event director Fiona McNaught.

“Four years ago we set about creating an event which we hoped would contribute to improving the overall standard of dressage competitions in Australia and we are pleased the Boneo Park CDI is going to get a chance to do just this.”

“We look forward to showcasing Australia’s top dressage combinations for the 2014/15 Pacific League World Cup Final and working with Equestrian Australia to raise the profile of this prestigious event,” McNaught said.

The 2013/14 Pacific League World Cup Dressage Final will take place at the Victorian State Dressage Championships from 28 November – 1 December.

*Under FEI rules, each season’s Final is required to be held after 1 December of the same year and before the end of February of the year which follows.
