2016 Club Development Grants Now Open

Is your club looking to secure financial assistance for facilities and equipment or membership recruitment?

Equestrian Australia's (EA) Club Development Grants are now open for 2016 and are offering affiliated clubs an opportunity to share in $30,000 worth of funding assistance.

This is the third year that funding has been made available to clubs for the improvement of facilities, purchasing of new equipment or assistance in building a club's membership base.

In 2015 more than 140 clubs applied for a slice of the funding and 15 shared in the $30,000.

One such club to receive funding was the Friends of Ballarat Eventing Association which received $3,000 to assist with the construction of a multi-purpose all weather arena at Victoria Park.

Secretary Viv Stephens said the entire community was reaping the benefits of the new facility.

"The completion of these works makes the grounds more usable through all weather conditions thereby increasing year round usage and riding opportunities.

"As the arena was built for "multi-use" it encourages all community groups to run events at the facility ranging from show jumping and dressage to clinics." said Stephens.

The installation of the facility allows the Club to continue the growth of major events such as the Ballarat International Horse Trials, Ballarat Show Jumping Series, Ballarat Hickstead day and Ballarat Hunter Trials.

Clubs can apply for Grants under one of two categories: Club equipment and facilities upgrades and club development and recruitment programs.  Entry is via the online form

Grant recipients will be selected based on their submission, the needs of the club and the impact the Grants will have on current and potential members as well as the local community. For more detail please refer to the judging criteria form template.

Submissions are now being accepted and must be submitted by 17 April 2016. Applications must be submitted via the online form.
