2020 EA Coach Registration, Renewals and Updates

Coach registration is fast approaching and the Equestrian Australia (EA) Coaching Committee is working closely with EA to ensure our coaches and educators are well supported.

We know that some of you will need to attend a Coach Update, renew your First Aid certification, apply for a new Working With Children Check (WWCC) or attend a Coach Educator/SSTA Update to maintain current EA coach accreditation during the 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021 period.

We’ve thought of these things and the challenges of achieving them in the current COVID-19 situation.

In order to assist our coaches and educators throughout these trying times, EA is implementing the following:

  • 2020 COACH UPDATES: EA is reviewing the use of technology to support our Coaches who need to attend a Coach Update in 2020. We are developing a Coach Update that can be completed online. We hope to have this available by mid-May to align with the commencement of coach registrations for the 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021 period.
  • 2020 CE/SSTA UPDATES: For any Coach Educators (CE) or Skills Specific Trainers/Assessors (SSTA) who need to attend a CE/SSTA Update in 2020, this will now be extended to 2021.
  • REGISTRATION AND INSURANCE: By mid-May, EA will know the combined cost of registration and insurance and will commence advertising. We are investigating ways to ease the financial burden, by introducing flexibility of payment, so a coach has the option of paying for the entire 12 months or more flexibly over a 12 month period.
