Adjourned Equestrian Australia Annual General Meeting Outcome - Q&A

The Equestrian Australia (EA) adjourned Annual General Meeting (AGM) was held this evening, Monday 25th January at 8pm AEDT.

Unfortunately, EA was unable to raise the number of voting members required to constitute a quorum for the second week in a row, despite all members being encouraged to exercise their voting right either in person or by proxy.

Under normal circumstances only 20 voting members are required to constitute a quorum at the AGM, however as there was a ‘Special Business Notice of Motion’ on the agenda 5% of the voting membership was required. While this equated to 820 voting members, 654 voting members attended.

With EA unable to form a quorum the ‘Special Business Notice of Motion’ has also lapsed and will not be amended in the EA Constitution.
