Aussies finish strongly at FEI World Vaulting Championships for Juniors

The FEI World Vaulting Championships for Juniors have drawn to a close with the Aussie contingent posting positive results. 

Australia was represented by individuals McKeira Cumming and Ellen Vincent as well Team Zelos in what was the first ever FEI World Championships for Juniors.  

Team Zelos'  score of 7.437 and fourth place in the second round Freestyle helped them to an overall eighth placing. The squad improved with each outing beginning with a score of 5.564 in the compulsory test followed by a 6.135 in the first round of the Freestyle. Their performance in the second round of the Freestyle helping them secure a top 10 finish.  

Earlier in the event individuals McKeira Cumming and Ellen Vincent took part in the individual competition and while the two vaulters narrowly missed the final they were pleased to have the opportunity to represent their country. In the first round Freestyle Vincent finished a commendable 16th overall with a score of 6.995 while Cumming was 22nd with a score of 6.584.
