Australian Team Announced for FEI Driving World Championships Four In Hand

EA High Performance is pleased to announce the Australian Team that will compete at the FEI Driving World Championships Four In Hand at Valkenswaard (NED) 7-11 October 2020.

The team is as follows (in alphabetical order)

  • Boyd Exell
  • Elizabeth Lawrence
  • Tor Van Den Berge

Previously shortlisted athlete Janelle Marshall unfortunately made the difficult decision to withdraw her EOI for team selection due to logistical complications relating to Covid-19.

In light of the current climate the National Driving Selectors have made a team selection decision based on a participation outcome that promotes the sport of Driving and in support of Australian athletes.

Traditionally such decisions have had a primary focus on performance outcomes. After careful consideration however and a review of the selection policy together with the good faith gesture that the FEI wishes to promote the sport of Driving, the National Selection Panel have proceeded in this direction.

The National Driving Selectors also acknowledge the difficult circumstances the sport and our athletes find themselves in globally due to the Covid-19 pandemic and therefore have taken this approach on this specific one-off occasion.

Congratulations to the athletes selected and we look forward to following their journey at the upcoming FEI Driving World Championships Four In Hand. EA High Performance is delighted to support this approach that can only benefit Australian Driving.
