From the Board - June 2026
The Equestrian Australia Board is pleased to provide the below update following a number of recent meetings, where a number of important matters were considered and approved in support of the ongoing sustainability and growth of our sport.
Following an extensive 12-month consultation process with State Branches, the Board approved the updated Membership Bylaws. This significant body of work reflects a collaborative approach to ensuring our governance framework remains contemporary and responsive to the needs of our members.
The Board also approved the 2026/27 Fees and Levies following extensive consultation with the Fees and Levies Committee and State Chairs. The Board acknowledges the valuable input provided throughout this process, which has helped inform a balanced and sustainable outcome.
In addition, the 2026/27 financial year budget was approved. As part of the budget development process, management identified and implemented approximately $600,000 in budget reductions, demonstrating a continued commitment to responsible financial management while maintaining focus on strategic priorities.
The Board also reviewed the Member and Stakeholder Communications Plan, including progress against key performance indicators, and received updates from across the organisation. These included reports on key projects including the EA Member Portal (IT project), Health and Safety, Integrity, and High Performance initiatives.
The Board remains committed to providing strong governance and strategic oversight to ensure Equestrian Australia continues to deliver positive outcomes for members, participants and stakeholders across the country.
