Brooke Dougall and Lamoza Velisha Selected for FEI Eventing U25 World Championship

Equestrian Australia is pleased to announce that Brooke Dougall and Lamoza Velisha have been selected to represent Australia at the inaugural FEI Eventing U25 World Championship, to be held from 22–26 July 2026 at Millstreet Green Glens Arena, Ireland.

The FEI Eventing U25 World Championship will bring together some of the globe's most talented young eventing athletes, providing a unique stepping stone between junior competition and senior elite level. As the first championship of its kind, the event represents an exciting opportunity for emerging riders to showcase their skills on the world stage.

Brooke Dougall's selection marks a significant milestone in a journey defined by determination, sacrifice, and ambition. Now based in Bonn, Germany, Brooke relocated to Europe in 2022 to pursue a career in the equestrian industry with TS Showjumping. Since then, she has progressed to the role of Head Groom and has worked at some of the sport's most prestigious events, including the FEI World Championships, Asian Games, and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Alongside her professional commitments, Brooke has remained dedicated to her own riding aspirations. In 2023, she made significant personal sacrifices to bring her horse, Locky that is bred by her mother to Europe. Together, the pair achieved their long-awaited Four-Star debut and have continued to gain valuable international experience leading to their selection for the championship.

"I am incredibly proud and excited to represent Australia at Millstreet International Horse Trials this year and look forward to continuing our journey on the international stage," Brooke said.

Joining Brooke on the Australian team is Lamoza Velisha, who continues to make her mark as one of Australia's most exciting young eventing talents.

At just 19 years of age, Lamoza claimed a career-defining victory last weekend aboard Call Me Cooley, winning the Melbourne International Three-Day Event CCI4*-S title. The prestigious result further highlighted her potential and demonstrated her ability to perform at the highest levels of the sport against experienced competition.

Lamoza expressed her gratitude to the many people who have supported her journey to this point.

"I am incredibly excited and proud to have been selected to represent Australia at the FEI Eventing U25 World Championship at Millstreet. I am grateful for the unwavering support of my family, coaches Karen Blythe and Yona Lloyd, my owners, supporters and the wider team who have helped me along the way," she said.

"I am looking forward to the opportunity to compete against some of the world's best young riders and proudly represent Australia on the international stage."

The FEI Eventing U25 World Championship highlights the future of the sport, bringing together the next generation of elite eventing talent from around the world. Equestrian Australia congratulates Brooke and Lamoza on their selection and wishes them and their horses every success in Ireland.
