After extensive consultation with coaches, delivery providers, parents and participants, changes have been made to the Ready Set Trot program to make it easier and more financially beneficial for coaches to get involved.   

Recent Changes to Ready Set Trot

Changes to the Ready Set Trot program are offering greater flexibility for coaches and more options for participants.

Coaches will welcome a more flexible delivery method which will allow them to set their own lesson prices. And rather than provide set lesson plans, the program now focuses on participants achieving specific skill outcomes, giving coaches the freedom to run the program to suit their business, or even integrate it into their existing beginner programs.  To see a full list of changes - CLICK HERE.    

So whether it is one-on-one lessons, a school holiday group program, club introduction program, or regular weekend sessions, Ready Set Trot Stable Skills now gives coaches the flexibility to run the program how they like. 

What benefit is there to running Ready Set Trot – how will this help my business?

Ready Set Trot and its specific programs can be used by coaches and clubs as a platform to expand their current servicing and attract new participants. The benefits include the recruitment of new clients using a national program and the use of an established product to supplement or add to existing riding programs.

But I already run a beginner riding program – why should I use Ready Set Trot?

Ready Set trot is easily incorporated into existing programs and adds value through a nationally recognised brand, content and certificate that the participant can tick off as part of or in addition to existing beginner programs. Essentially Ready Set Trot can be used by coaches and clubs as a platform to expand and add structure to their current servicing and attract new participants.

Registering to deliver Ready Set Trot

Visit the dedicated Delivery Provider section of the Ready Set Trot website and read the important information. Follow the links on this page to complete your registration as a Ready Set Trot Delivery Provider. To be a registered Delivery Provider you must hold a current affiliation with EA, PCA or RDA, be an accredited coach with EA, PCA or RDA and hold adequate insurance cover and a valid working with children check. You will be required to upload proof of all of these requirements as part of your registration.

For the one-off registration fee of $80.00,  Ready Set Trot delivery providers receive a comprehensive Ready Set Trot Coaching handbook, an online advertising profile and access to a suite of marketing and promotional resources that can be used to promote you own business within the Ready Set Trot network. Resources provided include online profiles, adaptable flyers, media templates, event guides and more.

What is Ready Set Trot?

Ready Set Trot is an introductory program that introduces young people to the world of horses, teaching them fundamental horse skills and horse awareness within a safe and fun setting.  The program also focuses on instilling in young people core values such as responsibility, communication, respect, empathy and team work.Ready Set Trot is targeted toward junior horse lovers and beginner riders – regardless if they have access to a horse or not, and consists of two sub-programs. Ready Set Trot Stable Skills is a beginner ‘learn-to-ride’ program and Ready Set Trot Playground Skills involves active games and activities that can be delivered without needing an actual horse – perfect for delivery through schools.
