From the CEO - April 2025

Dear Members, it is a pleasure to share with you our April Newsletter.

I would like to take a moment to recognise two outstanding Australian athletes who proudly represented our nation at the FEI World Cup Finals in Basel. Mary Hanna, in her sixth World Cup Final appearance delivered a great performance in the Dressage arena with Ivanhoe, while Ginger Kennett impressed in the Vaulting ring, finishing 7th in the world with her partner Goldjunge and lunger Jacqueline Schönteich.

This month also sees the introduction of the EA Integrity Hotline, a secure platform developed in partnership with Core Integrity. This important initiative provides our members with a clear avenue to report any behaviour or concerns that are not in line with EA’s values. Our commitment remains strong in fostering a safe, fair, and respectful environment for everyone in our equestrian community.

As many of you are aware, there has been disruption to some of our online services throughout the month. We do apologise for any inconvenience or frustration this may have caused. Please be assured we are aware of these issues and our IT partners are working vigorously in the background to restore our full suite of services.

In the coming month, we will be welcoming a new IT provider to the organisation. This partnership reflects our commitment to advancing digital solutions, improving member experiences, and ensuring the robustness of systems going forward. Together, we will deliver innovative services that align with our vision for the future of equestrian sports in Australia. We look forward to this exciting step in our journey

Looking ahead, with a home Olympic Games on the horizon, now is the time to set up our organisation for the future.  In doing this, we will need to work together to build a worldclass organisation. I will share more about our plans for the future after the outcome of our upcoming board meeting.

For now, I wish you all an enjoyable and rewarding month ahead.
