Australian Dates - 31st Oct and 1st Nov for Wheatbelt Regional Carriage Driving Club in WA and Southern Highlands Carriage Club at Bundanoon NSW and 27-28th Sept the South Burnett Equestrian Group in Nanango QLD.
The Australian Carriage Driving Society (ACDS) hosted the Australian Boyd Exell clinic in Vic in Jan and invited a few EA representatives to attend. Some informal discussion occurred and this centered around exploring the opportunities for more collaboration between the organisations.
A more structured meeting in May, between EA Driving and ACDS Reps, considered options for mutual support of the sport, ways of improving pathways towards FEI participation, and ideas for aligning accreditation methods for Sport Officials. The ACDS also accepted an offer to be represented at the Canter Con Coaching Conference in Melbourne on 25-26th July.
The National Discipline Committee continues to play a key leadership role in implementing sport rules and supporting Driving nationally. Having identified gaps in current resources and structures, the Committee has been proactive in developing new initiatives to address these, working closely with clubs to ensure the sport continues to grow on solid foundations.
Clubs are encouraged to get behind these initiatives, with funding support from affiliating clubs helping to bring them to life. This collaborative approach reflects EA Driving's commitment to providing clubs with the tools and structure needed to support drivers at every level, from grassroots through to FEI pathways.
News from State Clubs

The Wheatbelt Regional Carriage Driving Club (WRCDC) is also the host club for York Adult Riders Club and membership applications are open for the 2026/27 membership year, which commences on 1 July 2026.
WRCDC held a Driven Dressage Training Day in June at Kendenup with good attendance and was a fun learning activity. A recent club highlight was acquiring a new amenities block, a first (but essential) step towards growing the club infrastructure! A Shire of York grant to support the Certius event has enabled the club to buy more equipment (Cones and Balls) that comply with FEI competition standards.
The club plans to hold several more Dressage and Cones events as well as a 3 phase competition before the end of the year. Information will be available through their Facebook page Wheatbelt Regional Carriage Driving Club Inc. | Facebook.
