EA Member Portal Update - Horse Status Update
As we continue navigating the new system, EA has introduced horse statuses to help members better understand where their horse sits in the registration process, whether the horse is eligible to compete, and if any action is required on the owner's side.
Please note: These statuses are different from the previous system, so we recommend reading the information below to better understand what each status means.
Draft
Horse registration has not yet been completed. Required fields and/or payment are still outstanding.
Under Review
Your horse is currently being reviewed by your State Branch for a registration, upgrade, or competition licence request.
Pending Action
Action is required by the owner before the horse can progress. This may include completing mandatory fields or finalising an outstanding payment.
Pending Approval
Your horse was previously active, but requires a microchip update before it can proceed.

Active
Your horse is active and eligible to compete.
Suspended
Your horse is currently suspended from competition. If you believe this is incorrect, please contact your State Branch for further assistance.
Inactive
Your horse has been marked as inactive and cannot participate in competitions. This status may be used for horses that are retired, deceased, or no longer competing.
Please note: Horses marked as Inactive do not have name protection. This means the horse name may become available for use by another horse.
If you believe your horse should not be inactive, please contact your State Branch.
Members also have the ability to mark their horses as Inactive within the system.
Please note: If you wish to reactivate an inactive horse, this will require assistance from your State Branch.

Archived
Your horse has been archived but remains in the EA database for historical purposes and name protection.
This status may apply where a horse has been sold to a non-EA member.
