Successful applicants have been announced for the 2014 Global Education Program with the FEI.

With a 39% increase in applications over the last year, 120 submissions were received for the 60 available places. Three Australian Officials were successful in their applications:

  • Cheryl Cameron
  • Bev Shandley
  • Andrea Webb

The Global Education Program (GEP) for Eventing Officials, is a component of the FEI's strategic plan for discipline development through education.

Education covers the athlete, welfare, technical organisation and training of the support network of Officials (Judges, TDs Course Designers and Stewards).

The GEP focuses specifically on facilitating and enhancing the education of Officials with the general aim to improve the awareness of Risk Management while officiating / judging.

The system includes an ongoing evaluation and external verification of procedures to measure the difference of the current situation within the first five year period.

The programme has been developed together with International Eventing Officials Club (IEOC).

Equestrian Australia would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who applied for the exchange program and congratulate those successful applicants.
