FEI World Endurance Championships for Juniors and Young Riders

Expressions of Interest

Equestrian Australia would like to call for Applications for Young and Junior riders that are suitably qualified, or currently gaining qualification, that wish to compete in the 2015 FEI World Endurance Championships for Young Riders and Juniors, to be held in Chile in October 2015.

Equestrian Australia would like to invite members to indicate their interest to compete at this competition in Santo Domingo. All interested combinations will need to complete the Application form.

Please note this will be a completely self-funded competition.

The qualification criteria for this event is contained within the application form and must be adhered to prior to application for this event.

The riders will be responsible for:

  • Return airfares to Chile
  • Horse Transportation and related costs or Cost of lease horse
  • Transport to/from the airports
  • Meals and accommodation
  • Insurance (The EA National Office can assist with this insurance)
  • Entry fees and any other related expenses

The EA National office will provide:

  • Administration support and a uniform for the selected riders

EA is currently sourcing options for leasing horses in Chile. Further information on this option will be provided once details are confirmed. Riders may organise their own leased horses. Quarantine requirements are also being verified but it is expected that this option may be cost prohibitive.

A test event is being scheduled for the 11th April 2015 and riders who express their interest in competing in the World Championships may be required to compete at this event.
