First 2022 EA National Medication Control Program Stewards Course Success

The Equestrian Australia National Medication Control Officer (NMCO), Dr Penny Dow, recently presented the first of the planned EA National Medication Control Program Stewards Courses for 2022, at Park Ridge in QLD on 16th January.

Run in conjunction with Equestrian Queensland (EQLD), the day was a great success.

With an invitation being extended to Queensland Endurance Riders Association (QERA), we saw the participant list grow to 18 in attendance. A mixture of coaches, officials, endurance members and other interested members took the first steps to become EA Medication Control Program (MCP) Stewards.

Thanks to EQLD Sam Duffy and QLD Branch Medication Control Officer, Bronwyn Hew, for their organisation and ensuring the day ran smoothly.

Other Refresher/Promotion courses for Swabbing Stewards will be held around Australia throughout 2022.

Please keep an eye on the Official’s calendar in the next few months.
