Following the recent National Discipline Committee elections, which took place as per the EA National Discipline Committee Appointment and Procedures Policy, Equestrian Australia (EA) is pleased to announce the following committee appointments:

EA VAULTING COMMITTEE

The EA Vaulting Committee welcomes back Darryn Fedrick (QLD) for a second term and new member Wendy Singlehurst (SA).

Congratulations to these committee members on their appointments.  It is only through the dedication of our volunteers that we can jointly work together for the betterment of our sport.

GENERAL COMMITTEE INFORMATION

EA’s National Discipline Committees are either State Based or Skills Based. State Based Committees (Eventing & Show Horse Committees) consist of a representative from each State, plus a Riders’ Representative. Skills Based Committees (Show Jumping, Endurance, Carriage Driving, Vaulting and Dressage) consist of five elected members, based on their relevant skills within the discipline, and a Riders’ Representative.

COMMITTEE VACANCIES

Following appointments made, there are still a few vacancies on 3 of the EA Discipline Committees. EA is again calling for nominations, seeking enthusiastic members to come and be a part of planning, developing and promoting the different Equestrian Sports.  Being a committee member can be a rewarding and fulfilling experience, providing members with further insight on how the sport is administered and an opportunity to contribute their experience and knowledge in assisting committees with their decision making.

All of the positions will be for a two (2) year term, term commencing from appointment until 31 December 2020.

Eligibility requirements and an outline of the role and responsibility for each NDC can be found in both the EA National Discipline Committee Appointment and Procedures Policy, and NDC Charters here.
