The 2012 Education Program offers not only world class clinics and masterclasses from our International guests, but a range of demonstrations specifically aimed at helping to improve your performance. Topics such as:   Equine Assisted Learning, Physical and Mental Properties of Riding, Dealing with Behavioural Problems, Compensating for Hoof Irregularities, the Connection Between Basic and Advanced Movements, Optimizing Your Balance and Straightness, Managing Stress in Your Horse, Creating the Equestrian Athlete and lots of helpful health advice from a range of respected practitioners are on offer this year.

The competition program presents the best Australian Equestrian Riders in Dressage, Jumping and Exhibition Eventing as part of the Equestrian Grand Final. The Dressage Freestyle Championships and Jumping Championships are part of the evening program and include entertainment ranging from Australia’s top bands, “The Wall” where our daredevil jumpers take on an obstacle that gets higher each round until only one rider is left, Spanish Riding with International Flamenco guitarist, Special presentation by Kyra Kyrklund on how to put a winning freestyle together and much more.   

Our Exhibition will be the biggest and best yet, with over 300 businesses in the shopping precinct offering a huge range of new and innovative products and bargains, so visitors will have an even greater selection of shopping options.

EQUITANA Australia is also excited to announce that the stars of the amazing cast of performers and puppets of WAR HORSE will make an appearance at the Melbourne event this year. The National Theatre of Great Britain and Global Creatures are thrilled to be bringing War Horse to Australia and entertaining EQUITANA visitors. Audiences will have the chance to see two of the main characters of the show, "Joey", the beloved horse of “Albert” and see some of the story from the War Horse stage production.
