Important Announcement for all Coaches and Officials

Changes are being made to the reaccreditation process

In a bid to streamline the reaccreditation process for coaches and officials and provide a more efficient service to members, from 2015 Equestrian Australia (EA) will begin to process reaccreditation for coaches and officials at the same time of year.

The move benefits individuals who possess both coach and official accreditations as it will allow them to complete the reaccreditation process at once, rather than at different points throughout the year.

Key reaccreditation dates to be aware of:

September 2014 – Coach Registration (payment for nine months only)
March 2015 – Reaccreditation for all coaches and officials
June 2015 – Coach Registration (annual payment only)
June 2016 – Coach Registration (annual payment only)
March 2017 – Reaccreditation for all coaches and officials

What does this mean for Officials?

As a result of this change, dressage and show horse judges who were due to renew their accreditation in March 2014 will be given a one year extension. This 12 month allowance will bring those officials into line with officials of the remaining disciplines who are due for reaccreditation in March 2015.

The accreditation period will remain at two years and the requirements and processes for reaccreditation are being reviewed over the next twelve months.

What does this mean for Coaches?

Coaches will still need to complete their registration in September 2014, however, your reaccreditation will not be required until March 2015. Coaches will be granted a six month extension on their reaccreditation to bring them into line with the new standardised accreditation period.

From 2015 coach registrations will change from September to June so they coincide with the end of the financial year. This move will reduce the need for coaches to have their insurance spread over two financial years and require two Certificates of Currency during the registration period.

The accreditation period will remain at two years and the requirements and processes for reaccreditation are being reviewed over the next twelve months.
