Meet our new Pathway Manager for Coaches

Alison Gestier comes to us with ten years of experience in sport development and education and is well versed with the Australian Sports Commission’s National Coaching Accreditation Scheme. Most recently, Alison has been working with Macquarie University Sport in a role spanning swimming, martial arts and gymnastics. Prior to this, Alison led the education program for Gymnastics NSW for four years developing courses aligning to the VET sector and rolling out a new education pathway and undertook various roles with Pittwater Sports Centre and Gedling Borough Council. Sport, education and managing/mentoring coaches has been a strong theme in Alison’s career.

Alison completed her physiotherapy degree in the UK and has since completed diplomas in business management and HR, as well as her Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She has also undertaken considerable volunteer work in her local community.
