Sam Griffiths is guest editor at Horse and Hound in March

Australian rider based in the UK, Sam Griffiths, will be one of the guest editors at Horse & Hound, Britain’s leading equestrian weekly magazine, in March.
This will be the third year the magazine’s sport specials have been guest edited by famous riders from each discipline and these riders follow in the footsteps of the likes of William Fox-Pitt, Carl Hester, John Whitaker and Jayne Ross,
who have all taken the hot seat in the past. The Eventing Special, featuring Sam, 2014 Badminton winner, will on be sale Thursday 3 March 2016.

Horse & Hound eventing editor and acting print director Pippa Roome said: “Our guest edited specials always receive good feedback from the readers and it is fascinating working with riders of this calibre. We always want to know what our readers would like us to investigate and write about, so putting people who are both readers and top-class riders at the helm for a week is very interesting for us as well as for them.” As well as shaping the magazine content, the guest editors will all be involved in exclusive website articles such as Q&As, galleries and other features around the time of their guest edited issue.

Dressage special guest editor Laura Tomlinson, who won team gold and individual bronze in the dressage at the 2012 Olympics, said: “I am really excited to have been given the chance to guest edit for H&H. It’s a great opportunity to bring up and discuss some ideas and issues within our sport. I hope people find the pieces engaging and informative.”

Horse & Hound content director Sarah Jenkins said: “We’re thrilled that four of our audience’s most loved and admired riders have agreed to take the helm at Horse & Hound for our four sport special issues this year. “The insight that top riders bring to the magazine week after week is taken to another level in those issues that are guest edited by athletes at the top of their game with strong, informed opinions on the disciplines they are so passionate about. “We look forward to working with Laura, Geoff, Robert and Sam over the next few weeks and to presenting their features and ideas in the eventing, dressage, showing and showjumping issues this spring.”
